Explore LNK: Graduation Weekend

--

Grads and families proceed into PBA the morning of August 2023 commencement

Happy graduation weekend! Whether you are hosting a few family members or a group for graduation, celebrate accordingly by showing your guests all Lincoln has to offer. Take a walk down memory lane or find a new spot; whatever you do, don’t forget to cherish each moment this weekend.

Tour Campus

Just like you may have done four or five years ago, take your family and friends on a tour around campus! Point out your favorite study spots, pop into your college’s building and show all the amazing traditions and memories this campus holds. Whether this is the group’s first time on campus or 100th time on campus, share UNL through your eyes.

Capture the moment

This one’s for the parents! While your family and friends are around you, be sure to take photos in your regalia. Our city is full of picture-perfect spots to capture this moment. Check out this list of popular graduation photo spots across Lincoln.

Explore global cuisine

One of the many perks of being a Husker and living in Lincoln is enjoying the incredible and diverse cuisines. Breakfast spots such as Cultiva and Tina’s Cafe and coffee joints like The Mill and Crescent Moon are sure to jumpstart a fun filled day. For lunch and dinner dine at The Oven, Hiro 88 or El Potrero. Stroll through the Haymarket Farmers’ Market

The moment we have all been waiting for — the farmers’ market is back! The Haymarket Farmers’ Market is a Lincoln staple and just a short distance from commencement venues. After the ceremony, treat yourself and the family to local shopping, treats and a beautiful spring day.

Do something fun!

The most important thing graduates can do this weekend is spend quality time with friends and family. Enjoy a friendly competition of putt putt at Adventure Golf Center, try axe throwing at Tomahawks Axe Throwing, see the city on a Group Therapy bike tour or challenge one another in an Escape Lincoln puzzle room. There are also numerous outdoor adventures such as a Lincoln Saltdogs game at Haymarket Park, the Lincoln Children’s Zoo and Holmes Lake. Whatever your version of fun is, Lincoln has something for all.
